SESSION INFORMATION
Why is a full newborn session so long?
A typical newborn session takes about 2-3 hours in studio. This allows for feeding and soothing your baby as well as posing your baby in all those adorable poses you see. It takes time to make sure your baby looks perfect in your images, so that includes wrapping them, ensuring their little fingers are relaxed and making sure your baby is comfortable as she is being posed.
What is the best age for a newborn session?
I would love to see your newborn before he or she is 2 weeks old. At this fresh age your baby is much sleepier and typically poses with ease. I am able to move your newborn from adorable set up to adorable set while she remains sleeping.
When should we get in touch with you for our newborn session?
Once you have found out you are expecting and are comfortable sharing this news, this is a great time to connect with me about booking your newborn session. It is never too early.
I am pregnant but I am not sure when to do pictures?
The best time to have your maternity photos done is between 32-36 weeks along in your pregnancy. This seems to be the perfect time to capture your pregnancy.
Do you supply any outfits for your newborn & maternity sessions?
Yes! I have a large collection of newborn & baby outfits, hats, headbands & wraps. I will have the studio all set up with a variety of newborn props and outfits ready for your baby to use for her session. I also have a collection of maternity gowns you are welcome to use as well. I have a variety of colors and textures to choose from.
Where are you located?
I am located just outside of Red Deer in the small town of Springbrook. Springbrook is between Red Deer and Penhold on Hwy 2A. I will travel in and around Central Alberta for your family and lifestyle sessions as well.
Where and when will my photos take place?
Newborn sessions are done in my studio located in Springbrook, Alberta or in your home for a lifestyle session. All newborn sessions are held at around 10:30 am during the weekdays. Baby sessions are held in studio weekdays during the daytime. Specific times will be decided on an individual basis. Maternity & Family sessions are available weekdays, either daytimes or evenings.
Do I have to pay more to get my images?
Sessions are all inclusive with no further purchase required. Clients get a minimum amount of images guaranteed but often get far more at no extra charge. Sessions come with digitally delivered images and professional product (If included in the package). You are welcome to add professional products to your package and adding products are an amazing way to showcase your images as art but doing so is not required. Prices do not include gst.
Do you photograph weddings?
I do offer weddings. I am available for a limited amount of dates within the year. My wedding packages include the high-resolution digital files with printing rights as well. If you would like more information please let me know.
How do I pay you?
We accept cash, cheque or email money transfers. Payment plans are available if needed.
